About

Hello! I'm Lori Erickson, the jewelry designer and metalsmith behind Erickson Bell Studio.

In the spring of 2021, I left my job at a technology company, and began creating things with my hands. Like many others, during the pandemic, I became something of a serial maker—I painted (with acrylics and watercolors), knitted (lots of scarves), sewed (masks and little stuffed friends that my daughter and I refer to as bearcats), and finally returned to my creative outlet from years ago...jewelry making.

It started with one metalsmithing workshop through UW-Milwaukee's Peck School for the Arts (taught by the incredible Erica Meier). After that workshop, I took another...and another...and was offered a place in their Open Studio program.

It's been so much fun, and I'm finding such satisfaction in the process of making physical things. I love that silver can be recycled—melted down, poured, rolled or pulled into shape, and then reformed into new works of art.

In my collection, I hope that you find jewelry that you love, and that it brings you joy when you wear or give it!
